Get to Know Veronica Commodore

I am the Community Engagement & Learning Manager! I have been with the Council for 7 months. 

I currently reside in Wilmington Delaware and have been located here for the past 24 years. I attended the University of Delaware. I hold a BA in Education and Community service with a minor in Disabilities Studies.  I also hold a MA in Public Administration from the University of Delaware.  

I have 20+ years working in youth development programs at many levels. I’ve worked in many agency partnerships in Delaware managing State and Federal contracts. My most recent work has been at the University of Delaware where I spent 10 years working in professional development and career pathways for the Early Care workforce. I have a passion for adult learning grounded in early care and education and expertise in training development. 

Fun facts: 

  • In my free time, I enjoy watching my 16-year-old son swim competitively. 
  • I love trying new restaurants… it’s become a hobby. 
  • My favorite ice cream flavor is birthday cake.
