Get to Know Dr. Angela-Perla

In her 25 + years as an Early Childhood educator, Dr. Angela-Perla Almodovar has been privileged to work with students and teachers in a variety of early childhood settings like Family Child Care, Pre-K, VPK, Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant Head Start, K- 12 settings, Adult Education and College level.  She has worked as a Classroom Teacher, Director, Educational Coordinator, Health/Disability Coordinator, ECE Teacher, and College Professor and Instructor. Educational degrees include an Associate’s in Early Childhood, Bachelor’s in Early Childhood, Bachelor’s in Exceptionalities, a Master’s in Education/Curriculum, and Instruction, and a Ph.D. in Psychology. Committed to sharing her passion for early childhood education, she dedicates her time to advocating for early childhood all over the USA and outside the country. For the past 31 years, she has been serving as a Council PD Specialist™ in all settings and a CDA Trainer. For the past four years, she had the honor to serve on some local agency advisory committees and the FFCCHA Board as the State Area Coordinator and a board member for a local chapter. At this moment, Dr. Angela is also helping with the Council CAN “Lazos Latinos” Community designed especially for Hispanic early childhood participants and is a CAN Ambassador for the Southeast region.
